DharmaDeep LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the DharmaDeep mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Email address (when you register or sign in)

  • Display name (optional, when provided)

  • Questions and queries you submit to the App

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device type and operating system

  • App usage data and interaction patterns

  • Language preferences

2.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from Google as permitted by your Google account privacy settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Provide scripture-based guidance in response to your questions

  • Personalize your experience including language preferences

  • Process subscription payments through RevenueCat

  • Improve the App and develop new features

  • Communicate with you about the App

4. AI-Powered Features

The App uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate scripture-based responses to your questions. When you submit a question, it is transmitted to Anthropic's servers for processing. Your questions are processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy, available at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy. We do not store your questions or the AI-generated responses in our systems beyond the current session.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Firebase (Google): For authentication and data storage. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

  • Anthropic: To process your scripture queries via the Claude API.

  • RevenueCat: To manage subscription billing. No payment card data is shared with us directly.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

  • Opt out of non-essential communications

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, including Firebase's built-in security infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
